Frosty the Speedfreak

There must have been some road rage in that old silk hat they found.

While the Christmas-connection might be a loose one, research from the South China University of Technology indicates that any song over 120 BPM can potentially influence drivers to be more reckless behind the wheel. So then it becomes a simple task (taken on by website Insuranceopedia) to plot the BPM of all holiday classics and name the fastest ones as the most nefarious. Smack dab on the top of the list at 172 BPM is Frosty The Snowman. Following that is the Queen of Christmas herself, Mariah Carey, and the inescapable 1994 hit All I Want For Christmas Is You. Felix Navidad by Jose Feliciano rounds out the top three.

It’s doubtful that simply listening to the more spirited holiday standards will transform you into a speed demon driver. It’s more a case of just staying present (no pun intended) around the snowy holidays while you’re behind the wheel with a million things on your mind.
