FORT MCMURRAY, Alberta— The RCMP are advising the public of a significant police presence in the Prairie Creek area, with multiple officers conducting operations near Rodeo Drive and Mustang Road.
Wood Buffalo RCMP confirm there is no immediate risk to the public but request that residents refrain from posting pictures or videos of responding officers on social media.
RCMP Communications Officer Constable Cory Riggs stated that further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
