FORT MCMURRAY, Alberta— The Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo (RMWB) is adding a competitive twist to its annual holiday edition of Nominate Your Neighbour. The program encourages residents to showcase and celebrate festive light displays across the region.

This year, the RMWB is including an interactive Holiday Lights Map, allowing residents to nominate their neighbours’ displays, plan tours of the most dazzling setups, and vote for their favourites. The displays with the most votes will receive special gifts from Wood Buffalo Communities in Bloom.

Nominations are open until December 18 and can be submitted through the municipality’s website. Photos of nominated homes and businesses may be shared on municipal social media accounts to highlight the beauty in the region.
