Introducing the Poopcopter

THIS is what AI needs to be used for. We need not let corporations harness the cold unfeeling speed of AI to ‘create’ and drive a wedge between artists and potential jobs. We need it to clean up our crap! Inventor Caleb Olson has created what he believes to be the world’s first drone-powered self-guiding autonomous dog poop collection and disposal system, and he’s called it the Poopcopter. Here’s a very dry and gloomily-lit video of the unveiling presentation. I promise the idea is more exciting than the telling of it here.

There’s no schedule of release for public sale, but I’d say this – once all safety and operational concerns are ironed out – is a sure bet. Nobody wants to clean up dog poop. Nobody even wants to get too close. So to have a smart machine just take care of *ahem* business just makes sense. Especially when you think of the impact it will have on the spring time in Canada when the snow blanket melts away and you’re left with a stinky minefield through the back yard.

Fly true, Poopcopter. Fly true.

And don’t crash into the patio with a full payload during a family BBQ, please and thank you.
