A man from the Chipewyan Prairie First Nation faces firearms and breach of probation charges after an investigation by Wood Buffalo RCMP. 

On Thursday, September 5, officers were conducting patrols in Janvier and on the First Nation when a man was spotted, already wanted on breach of probation charges. 

A warrant was authorized to allow officers into a residence to arrest the suspect, and a search was conducted, revealing a prohibited weapon and ammunition. 

31-year-old Leslie Quintal faces several charges including three counts of weapons possession, careless use of a firearm, and breach of probation. He will appear in court next week.
