Winter Maintenance Zone Program Active In Subzone 4

The RMWB is activating one subzone this week as part of its Winter Maintenance Zone Program.

People living in area 4 won’t be able to park on their street for one day from 7 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Crews will be focusing on streets in Waterways, Abasand, Grayling Terrace, Beacon Hill, Prairie Creek, Thickwood, Wood Buffalo, Dickensfield, and Timberlea.

The focus of the program is to give road crews an easier time when clearing streets with snow on them.

If you’re parked on the street when your subzone is active, you can receive a fine or possibly have your car towed.

Meanwhile, residents living in subzones 1, 2, and, 3 can park on their street as crews won’t be in their areas.

However, they’re being reminded to keep an eye out for signage as other parking restrictions may be in effect.

More information about WMZ’s can be found on the RMWB’s website.
