The Pink Shirt Day Discussion with James P. White

FIND THE LIVE STREAM HERE AT 11A MST WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 28TH – https://www.youtube.com/@957CRUZFM

Our collective goal is to spread this message of solidarity to every corner of Canada. Together, we can make a difference. Remember, no one is alone in this fight against bullying.

Pink Shirt Day, an annual event observed on the last Wednesday of February in Canada, stands as a powerful testament to the importance of unity in combating bullying. Born out of an act of compassion in 2007, when two Nova Scotian high school students, David Shepherd and Travis Price, stood up against bullying by supporting a fellow student ridiculed for wearing a pink polo shirt, this day has grown into a nationwide movement symbolizing solidarity in the fight against bullying.

As someone deeply committed to this cause, James P. White has dedicated himself to raising awareness and fostering acceptance. Since 2001, he has worked closely with the Canadian Half Pints, a Little Person Basketball team, conducting presentations on bullying prevention in schools across Canada. Through both in-person engagements and digital platforms, he has strived to advocate for inclusivity and compassion.

This year, on February 28, 2024, at 11 am MST, Jimmy is thrilled to announce our Pink Shirt Day livestream event, accessible to schools and homes nationwide. Under the theme “You Are Not Alone,” this livestream aims to empower individuals to take action against bullying and to seek support when needed. In partnership with Kids Help Phone, we offer a valuable resource for those who may require assistance.
