Waypoints receives funding from government

The government of Alberta is providing $4.2 million in funding for sexual assault centres across the province.

Sexual assault centres provide services such as counselling or police and court support.

$3.8 million from the fund will help address the wait lists at 13 different centres in Alberta.

The other $400,000 will help expand a new service to provide survivors waiting for services, with resources and information to support their situation.

Waypoints received $148,970 in funding to support those in the Fort McMurray area.
