The Government of Alberta is expanding eligibility for individuals to receive the fourth dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
Starting April 12, the following individuals are eligible:
- Albertans aged 70+
- First Nations, Métis, and Inuit people 65+
- All seniors in congregate care
- Individuals requiring a fourth dose for international travel
Those eligible can book their fourth dose provided it has been at least five months since their third.
Also starting April 12, children aged 6-11 will have the option of receiving the Moderna mRNA vaccine.
The province is also receiving 10,000 doses of the Novavac Nuvaxovid vaccine.
