The Fort McMurray Oil Barons have announced that Adam Manah will be their new Head Coach and General Manager after former Head Coach Gord Thibodeau left for personal reasons.

Manah had Spent six years with the Sherwood Park Crusaders as their Head Coach and Assistant GM before leaving on Nov. 26, 2021.

In an Oil Barons press release he was quoted as saying, “I’ve always viewed the Oil Barons as a premier Junior A organization and I’m extremely excited to be back in Fort McMurray and re-join the community where I spent the majority of my AJHL playing career. I look forward to coming in and helping continue the success the team has had so far this season.”

The Fort McMurray Oil Barons currently lead the Viterra AJHL North Division with a 26-6 record.
