Wood Buffalo RCMP are arresting an Ontario man wanted for first-degree murder.

A 56-year-old woman was killed in Brampton on August 13, 2020, after being shot.

Several months later, on June 4, 2021, the Mounties arrested 19-year-old Fiseha Girmay Habtegabir from London, Ontario.

Roughly three weeks later, on June 23, 23-year-old London native Malik Essue was arrested in Fort McMurray and charged with first-degree murder.

He’s in the process of being brought back to the Peel region.
