A 32-year-old Fort McMurray man is being charged after striking multiple police vehicles.

Shortly after 5:30 p.m. on October 29, the Mounties were called to Eagle Ridge on Sparrow Hawk Drive, between Loutit Road and Crane Rise.

When they arrived they apparently found Philip Osborne sitting in a running pickup truck.

He was placed under arrest for criminal harassment, however, he allegedly resisted arrest and drove away.

The truck ended up stopping at a traffic light where two RCMP officers blocked the front and rear of the vehicle.

Osborne reportedly reversed into a police vehicle before driving forward and hitting the other car.

The Mounties ended up pulling the vehicle over on Highway 63, near the Thickwood Boulevard overpass, due to damage it suffered from the collisions.

Osborne has since been charged with criminal harassment, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, resisting an officer, flight from an officer, and mischief under $5,000.

He’s since been released and is scheduled to appear in a Fort McMurray courtroom on November 18.
