Starbucks Implementing Mandatory Mask Rule In All Locations

You’ll soon have to wear a mask if you want to get a coffee, latte, or more at Starbucks.

The company announced on Monday customers will be required to put on a mask before entering any location across the country starting on September 14.

Starbucks says this will help lower the potential spread of COVID-19 among employees and customers.

“The company is committed to playing a constructive role in supporting health and government officials as they work to mitigate the spread of COVID-19,” read a statement from the company.

“All decisions are grounded in partner and customer care and safety, based on facts and science, and communicated with transparency.”

People can still order from Starbucks through drive-thrus, curbside pickup, or delivery at select locations.

Starbucks isn’t the first nationwide company to introduce a mask measure. Walmart Canada announced in mid-August customers and employees would need to wear a mask before being allowed to enter.

Locally, the Casman Centre also put in a mandatory mask rule for anyone who plans on visiting the facility.
