Masks Mandatory For Students in Grades 4 to 12 on Public Transit

Students in grades 4 to 12 will need to wear a mask to use public transit during the school year.

The RMWB announced on Tuesday the new measure to limit the risk of today’s youth from getting COVID-19.

The rule will be implemented on August 31, the start of school routes across the community.

The rest of the public is also being encouraged to wear a mask when on any municipal bus, however, it’s not mandatory.

Passengers can continue to receive packages of non-medical masks on any bus. They’ve been put in a bag located at the rear entrance.

Meanwhile, the RMWB is reminding anyone who uses public transit to wash their hands frequently, avoid touching their faces, and stay home if sick.
