No new cases of COVID-19 are being discovered in the RMWB over the past 24 hours.

Dr. Deena Hinshaw, Alberta’s Chief Medical Officer of Health, announced on Thursday 120 new cases across the province. This is the highest daily count since early May.

This also raises the total to 9,114 with 807 currently active.

There were no changes in the RMWB as two cases remain active in the rural areas and another in Fort McMurray.

Across the RMWB, 92 individuals – 55 in Fort McMurray and 37 in the rural areas – have recovered from the virus.

They are among the 8,142 who’ve recovered across the province. This represents over 89 per cent of the reported cases.

Meanwhile, two more people have died from COVID-19 in the province – raising the death toll to 165.

None of the deaths have been in the RMWB.
