Keyano To Provide Majority of Fall Courses Online Due To COVID-19

Keyano College will be providing the majority of their fall courses online.

The post secondary school says this decision is in response to the challenges they’ve faced with the COVID-19 pandemic.

They will provide limited in-person learning in labs and shops if all the guidelines put in place by Alberta Health Services are met.

“Our priority remains keeping students and staff healthy and safe. While this remains a changing situation with many unknowns, we want to assure our community that we commit to provide an exceptional experience for students, one that will prepare them for a career or for further education,” read a statement for Keyano.

They’re also working with Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training to ensure apprenticeship programs can continue.

Keyano is hoping they will be able to offer in-class instruction at some time during the upcoming school year.

Registration for their fall courses open on May 27 and includes a wide range of courses such as business, childhood studies, environmental technology, university studies, academic upgrading, education, social work, nursing and allied health, power engineering, and more.

Registration for 2020-21 Continuing Education courses is set to begin on June 22.

More information can be found on Keyano’s website.
