
FORT MCMURRAY, AB – The Fort McMurray Chamber of Commerce is inviting members to its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, starting at 5:00 p.m. MST. The meeting will reflect on the successes of 2024 and offer a look ahead to 2025.
The AGM will feature a keynote address from Honourable Brian Jean, Alberta’s Minister of Energy and Minerals and MLA for Fort McMurray-Lac La Biche.
The Chamber is also calling for nominations for its 2025-2027 Board of Directors. Nominations are open until April 25, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. Elected directors will play a key role in shaping the Chamber’s strategic direction, policies, and programs. Directors are expected to serve a two-year term, participate in committees or task forces, and actively engage in Chamber events.
Nomination forms and detailed director qualifications are available on the Chamber’s website. Completed applications must be submitted to Executive Director Dianna de Sousa at ed@fortmcmurraychamber.ca by the deadline.
During the AGM, Chamber members will have an opportunity to vote for candidates to serve on the board. The organization is encouraging members to attend, as quorum is essential for the election of a new board.
