FORT MCMURRAY, AB. — The Fort McMurray Chamber of Commerce is accepting nominations for its 2025 Business Awards, which recognize outstanding businesses and individuals who make a significant contribution to the region’s economy and community.
Nominations are open until April 30, 2025, and can be submitted online through the Chamber’s website. The Chamber of Commerce is also welcoming self-nominations.
This year’s awards include 16 categories ranging from Emerging Entrepreneur to the Lifetime Business Achievement Award as well as the Franchise of the Year award sponsored by Play 103.7 and Cruz FM.
Three People’s Choice Awards will also recognize small, medium-large businesses, and a Business Leader of the Year.
“We are proud to celebrate the businesses and individuals who help shape our region’s economy and community,” said Dianna de Sousa, Executive Director of the Fort McMurray Chamber of Commerce. “These awards are a celebration of the resilience, innovation, and success that define our local business community.”

- Business of the Year – Under 20 Employees
- Business of the Year – 20-99 Employees
- Business of the Year – Over 99 Employees
- People’s Choice Small Business of the Year
- People’s Choice Medium-Large Business of the Year
- People’s Choice Business Leader of the Year
The winners will be announced at the Chamber’s annual Business Awards Gala this fall.
