Wood Buffalo RCMP Celebrate “Stuff a Cruiser” Success, Collect Over 200 Pounds of Food for Charity
Fort McMurray, AB — The Wood Buffalo RCMP and FreshCo marked a successful community food drive and BBQ event on October 19, raising much-needed food donations for local charities. Shoppers were invited to “Stuff a Cruiser,” helping fill a police car with non-perishable food items to support the Wood Buffalo Food Bank and the Pastew Detox Centre.
In just two hours, the police cruiser was packed with goods from front to back, with RCMP officers also collecting cash donations through the BBQ. Chief Superintendent Mark Hancock of the Wood Buffalo RCMP commended the community’s generosity, noting the impressive turnout during the busy fall season.
