Yesterday we were treated to two brand new trailers for new updates to franchises that are decades old: Beetlejuice Beetlejuice and Alien: Romulus.

Jenna Ortega joins the returning cast members for Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, marking a return to the Winter River and Tim Burton’s live-screen story after 36 years away. Good thing the dead don’t age.

Then there’s the final trailer for Alien: Romulus from director Fede Alvarez, and I am so in. This franchise has seen far more live-action entries, but this seems to be the first one to truly embrace the horror genre since the original Alien in 1986. Intense is the word.
