Alex Trebek Being Honored With Forever Stamp

On Friday’s episode of Jeopardy!, new host Ken Jennings announced that the U.S. Postal Service will issue a Forever stamp honoring former host Alex Trebek, coinciding with the show’s 60th Diamond Celebration. Presales for this special stamp began Friday at usps.com. An event took place at Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City, California, featuring Jennings, Jean Trebek (Alex Trebek’s wife), and Michael Elston, secretary of the USPS Board of Governors.

Trebek, a naturalized U.S. citizen from Canada, passed away in 2020 after hosting the syndicated show for 37 years. The stamp design features a grid of 20 identical stamps, resembling the Jeopardy! game board. The stamp includes the prompt, “THIS NATURALIZED U.S. CITIZEN HOSTED THE QUIZ SHOW ‘JEOPARDY!’ FOR 37 SEASONS,” with the correct response, “Who is Alex Trebek?” printed underneath upside down. Customers can purchase these stamps and other philatelic products through the Postal Store at usps.com/shopstamps, by calling 844-737-7826, by mail through USA Philatelic, or at Post Office locations nationwide.
