Police in Wood Buffalo have a 26-year-old man in custody in connection with an attempted robbery on December 28th, 2023.
Anthony Johnson, 26 years of age, was arrested on January 4th and charged with, two counts of Robbery, one count of Assault, one count of Possession of Property obtained by crime, and seven counts of theft under five thousand.
Johnson was also found to be at large on several Provincial Warrants for his arrest relating to Possession of Property obtained by Crime Over $5,000, Theft Under $5,000, Mischief, Failure to comply with conditions, and Failure to attend court in Fort McMurray.
Johnson has been remanded into custody following a Judicial Interim Hearing. He is set to appear in the Alberta Court of Justice – Fort McMurray on Feb. 7, 2024.
