The Fort McMurray Public School Division (FMPSD) has announced the winners of their “Christmas Card Design Challenge”.
Two students were selected as the winners after some thoughtful consideration.
The designs selected were created by grade 12 student, Avalon Murrin, who attends Ecole McTavish High School and Frank Spragins High School, and grade 5 student, Paige Seguin, who attends Timberlea Public School.
The grade 12 student’s design showcases a girl building a snowman with a top hat, scarf, and carrot nose.
The grade 5 student’s design is a young girl in a winter landscape with snow falling, while she thinks about family and hot chocolate.
“Both Avalon and Paige’s designs are a testament to the incredible creativity, talent, and dedication of the Fort McMurray Public School Division students,” says the FMPSD in a news release.
“Their winning entries demonstrate the power of imagination and the joy of artistic expression. They are sure to be cherished by everyone who receives them this holiday season.”
FMPSD says the design challenge is a highly anticipated event by students.
