AHS is back with its Toys for Tickets program.

If you’ve received a parking ticket from Alberta Health Services between November 6th and December 15th, you can donate a new unwrapped toy instead of paying the fine.

“Last year was a huge success as we collected more than 470 toys province wide,” says Nick Ternovatsky, Director of Parking, AHS.

“Given its past success and positive reception, we are happy to launch it once again this holiday season.”

Toys need to be in their original packaging and can be for any age between newborn and 17 years. The value of each toy must be at least 25 dollars.

AHS is recommending items such as books, art supplies, science kits, electronics, headphones, Lego sets, portable DVD players, and gift cards for grocery stores and restaurants. For younger children, they suggest donating rattles, baby toys, activity books, crayons, and colouring books.

AHS says the items will be donated to various children’s foundations and charity organizations to be given to kids throughout Alberta.

Toys will be accepted until December 15th at any AHS parking office.
