A Fort McMurray man is facing drug-related charges following a police investigation in Fort McMurray.
The Alberta Law Enforcement Response Team (ALERT) with the help of Wood Buffalo RCMP executed a search warrant on a Timberlea apartment on October 4th. Police found 112 grams of suspected cocaine along with $11,235 in cash.
Staff Sgt. Mark Wait, with ALERT Fort McMurray, says the street value of the drugs is approximately $22,435.
“We see the impacts drugs and drug trafficking have on our community every day and its effects will not be tolerated,” said Wait.
“Our team continues to pursue these street-level dealers because it means keeping drugs out of our neighbourhoods.”
27-year-old Justin Claeys is facing trafficking charges and has been released while awaiting his next court date on November 28th.
