An organization supporting people who have experienced the loss of a baby is seeking volunteers in Fort McMurray Wood Buffalo.
The Twinkle Star Project is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to provide meaningful support for individuals experiencing baby loss and those who love them. While the group began in Regina, they now provide services to families across the prairies.
The Twinkle Star Project is currently seeking volunteers to help with their programs. Individuals can participate on their Alberta committee to provide support, or even help out by crafting mementos for bereaved parents.
“Each volunteer will have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of those affected by baby loss and help raise awareness for this important issue,” writes Kathy Littlewood, Alberta Committee Member for the Twinkle Star Project Inc.
“We understand firsthand how difficult it is to cope with the loss of a baby. Our goal is to offer comforting and supportive services to those who are experiencing the same pain we once felt,” adds Alberta Committee Member, Vanessa Braun.
Those interested in volunteering or learning more about Twinkle Star can visit their official website, or contact them through their Facebook page.
