RCMP name suspect in June 23 Supplement King fire

Wood Buffalo RCMP are releasing the name of a man suspected of arson in Timberlea in June.

45-year-old Michael Hammond of Fort McMurray is charged with Arson and Break and Enter in relation to a June 23 fire at Supplement King’s Eagle Ridge location.

This is a separate incident from the August 20 fire at the Supplement King in Thickwood.

Hammond was arrested on August 6 but could not be named until the charges were sworn. He is set to make his next court appearance on August 30th.

Over the past two years, there have been numerous fires at both of Supplement King’s locations in Fort McMurray Wood Buffalo.
