United Conservative Party (UCP) candidate, Zulkifl Mujahid, will not be running for election this spring.

The UCP released a statement saying Mujahid was named in legal matters.

It did not provide details about the matter but said they arose after the nomination process.

The matter will also be ongoing during the writ period, which is expected to begin on May 1st.

The party says a new candidate will be appointed following meetings with local officials.
