If you’re looking to file an appeal for your 2022 property assessment, today (April. 18) is the last day.
The RMWB sent out notices by mail back in February.
“It’s important that you review your assessment notice before the April 18 deadline to ensure the information reflects the property you own,” says Keivan Navidi, Senior Manager, Assessment and Taxation, with the RMWB.
“Confirm the property description, and the assessed value and understand the steps to take if you want to appeal your assessment.”
The property assessments are used to calculate your annual property tax and are based on July 1, 2022 market values and physical conditions as of Dec. 31, 2022.
The RMWB will then send out your property tax notice in May when council reviews and approves of the 2023 Property Tax Rate Bylaw.
