The RMWB is holding a town-hall meeting in Fort Chipewyan to discuss water quality in the community.
The Municipality has implemented additional safety measures and enhanced testing at the Fort Chipewyan Water Treatment Plant.
The actions are a response to worries over wastewater seepage at Kearl Oil Sands impacting water quality in the hamlet.
The RM says tap water in the community continues to be safe to drink. They are bringing experts to the hamlet to answer residents’ questions in person.
The meeting is set for 5:30 on Wednesday at Mamawai Community Hall.
