The RMWB is one of Alberta’s Top 75 employers for 2023.
The honour comes from MediaCorp Canada’s annual ranking of exceptional places to work. First published in 2006, Alberta’s Top Employers is an annual competition organized by the editors of Canada’s Top 100 Employers.
Employers throughout the province were evaluated on eight criteria:
- Physical workplace
- Work and social atmosphere
- Health, financial and family benefits
- Vacation and time off
- Employee communications
- Performance management
- Training and skills development
- Community involvement
The Municipality stood out for its support of wellness in the workplace through a dedicated employee well-being committee, its maternity leave top-up for new mothers, academic scholarships for children of employees, and the creation of the Equity and Inclusion Office
