A cause has yet to be determined for a second fire at the Blessed Virgin Roman Catholic Church Monday night.
Around 9:52PM on October 30th, Fort Chipewyan RCMP responded to reports of a fire at the rectory residence on the grounds of the Catholic church.
Local fire fighters responded to the fire, and with the assistance of RCMP were able to contain the blaze and stop it from spreading to other buildings nearby as well as the community.
The rectory was completely burned.
At the time of the fire, no one was believed to be in the building and it had been boarded up for some time.
A fire investigator will be working with Fort Chipewyan RCMP to determine the cause of the fire.
