The cause of death is still unknown after human remains were found in wooded areas in Fort McMurray.
On March 20, the Mounties were called to an area near Silin Forest Road and Thickett Drive where they recovered the body.
An autopsy was done in Edmonton at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner earlier this week, however, they couldn’t determine the cause.
The police note they’re planning to reach out to the family of the deceased to share more information before another update is provided to the public.
The wooded area remains closed off as the RCMP continue to investigate the situation.
