There are three new cases of COVID-19 in Fort McMurray and seven new cases of COVID-19 popping up in the rural areas.
Dr. Deena Hinshaw, Alberta’s Chief Medical Officer of Health announced 304 new cases across the province over the past three days.
This raises the provincial total to 10,390 with 1,430 currently active.
Along with the 10 new cases within the RMWB, there was one additional recovery in the rural areas. This moves the active total to 13.
Across the RMWB, 97 individuals – 56 in Fort McMurray and 41 in the rural areas – have recovered from the virus.
They are among the 8,774 who’ve recovered across the province. This represents just under 85 per cent of reported cases.
Meanwhile, eight more people have died from COVID-19 in the province – raising the death toll to 186.
None of the deaths have been in the RMWB.
