RMWB Starting Yard Waste Collection Next Week

The RMWB is starting yard waste curbside collection next week.

Those living in Fort McMurray, Draper, Saprae Creek Estates, Gregoire Lake Estates, and Anzac can once again leave their yard waste at their curb starting on Tuesday.

Yard waste includes grass clippings, leaves, flowers, weeds, plants and small twigs and sticks. It does not include kitchen food scraps, pet waste or non-organic garden waste such as broken plant pots.

Due to COVID-19, residents are being asked to put the waste into dark blue collection bins instead of bags.

Residents are being advised to put the bins at the curb by 7:30 a.m. on the day of their regularly scheduled collection day.

As for regular waster, crews will continue to collect two bins per week. Recycling should continue being thrown away with the regular garbage.

More information can be found on the RMWB’s website.
