Alberta Health Services has lifted the do not consume water advisory in Janvier.

An issue with the water system had prompted AHS to issue an advisory as a precautionary measure.

The issue has since been resolved and water testing has confirmed it is safe to consume.

113 homes in the community were without drinkable water for over two weeks after a chemical mix-up at the Water Treatment Plant.

Janvier residents and businesses are now allowed to return to normal water consumption practices.
