The Hub Family Resource Centre is closing its downtown location.

The non-profit will continue to operate in Wood Buffalo at their Timberlea spot.

The organization has been in the community since 2003 helping families with early child development.

In a release, the Hub says closing this location is part of a long-term strategic plan.

They expect the move to help increase cost-effectiveness and efficiency.

Despite this, the organization is still planning to continue their outreach programming in surrounding rural communities along with partner agencies.

The Hub notes the closure won’t impact their current programs and services.

The downtown location will close its doors as of March 31, 2020.
