The housing market is kicking off 2020 with a bang.

That’s according to the Fort McMurray REALTORS January report, which showed 51 properties sold last month, compared to 27 in 2019.

The average price for a single-family home is down slightly from January of last year, sitting at $506,607 but is up from last month’s $451,714.

That’s a 4.7 per cent decrease from the year prior.

Currently, there are 230 homes listed on the market which is down from last year’s 278.

Inventory in this sector is very low with reports of multiple offers and the REALTORS encourage you to contact them about getting your home ready for the Spring market.
