Wood Buffalo RCMP are investigating the suspicious death of a Fort McMurray woman.

On December 25, around 10:40 a.m., the Mounties responded to a report of a deceased female outside a local residence.

Upon arrival, police discovered the body of 49-year-old Audrey Bignose.

The scene was secured by police and the RCMP Major Crimes Unit was brought in to assist.

In consultation with the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, Wood Buffalo RCMP continue to investigate.

Anyone with information on Bignose’s activities between December 24 and Christmas morning is asked to contact police.
